Pre school Manager

Location: Topsham, Exeter

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £14 per hour

Little Ducklings Pre school Topsham are looking for a qualified Pre school Manager, who holds a level 3, 4 or 6 in early years.

We are a well-established childcare provider within Exeter with a wonderful reputation. We pride ourselves on recruiting practitioners and Managers who are professional and passionate about children's development.

Our team are looking for patient, compassionate Manager to join us and help our children and staff thrive in our settings.

Full time, 37 hours per week, Must be available for shifts, 7.30am starts on occasion and 6.30pm finishes.

All opportunities are 51 weeks per year.

Level 3, 4 or 6 qualification in Childcare is a must.

Working in an established Pre school setting you will be able to encourage play in a warm welcoming environment for children under 5 years old, we also offer after school and breakfast care for children up to the age of 8 years old within the pre school building.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pre school, including ensuring that children receive high quality care and education and the preschool is a safe and nurturing environment.

Curriculum

A good understanding of the EYFS is a must.

To be responsible to implement the curriculum and develop it to tailor the children's needs and ensure the children meet their learning outcomes.

Staff

Recruit, induct and supervise staff and ensure they maintain their training needs, to be responsible for staff wages and holiday allowance, parents invoices.

To oversee the organisation of a staff training.

Safety

Ensure the preschool is a safe environment for the children in your care, staff and others and to ensure that safety procedures and implemented.

To promote high standards of quality in the pre schools indoor and outdoor environments, resources and experiences.

Policies

Ensure that all legal and statutory requirements are met, and contribute to and implement early years policies

Communication

Update parents and carers on the children's progress, hold parents evenings and parent meetings. To build bonds between children and families.

Records

Keep records and create reports such as the daily attendance register, accident and incidents.

And.....

.-Must have calm, patient approach to children.

-Be able to work part of a small team.

-Must enjoy working with a friendly group of children who are always active and wanting to learn.

- Be flexible with overtime and travelling to other settings.
